Ginseng & royal jelly. Ginseng and royal jelly oil dropping from a vial into a glass of red liquid. Ginseng comes from the roots of the ginseng plant (Panax sp.). These roots are used extensively in oriental medicine as a panacea, a cure for all ills. Preparations made from the roots are used to treat mental and nervous exhaustion, and are an aid to appetite. Royal jelly is secreted from the salivary glands of worker bees (Apis sp.) as food for bee larvae that are to develop into queen bees. Royal jelly contains essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals.
