St John's wort (Hypericum perforatum) blossoms in a scoop. The flowering tips of the St John's wort plant are believed to have medicinal properties and are used as a natural wound-healer and as a cure for incontinence. This plant is also taken as an antidepressant. The medicinally useful parts of the plant are gathered in the early summer and prepared as an infusion, syrup or fluid extract.
