Frankincense. Pieces of frankincense next to a scoop. This aromatic resin, produced from the sap of the Boswellia thurifera tree, is used in incense and perfumes. It fragrance, also known as olibanum, is thought to promote relaxation. Inhalation of steam infused with frankincense is believed to relieve bronchitis and laryngitis.
