Teeth bleaching. Dental nurse applying a bleaching gel to a patient's teeth. The gel will be activated by a laser, causing the release of hydrogen peroxide, which whitens the teeth, but does not alter their shape. Teeth discolouration is caused by ageing, drinking red wine or coffee, smoking and nerve degeneration. The effects of bleaching last for around one year.
