Sperm bank. Tubes of sperm being removed from frozen (cryogenic) storage. The container is filled with liquid nitrogen, which keeps the sperm stored at approximately -200 degrees Celsius. Once the sample is removed and thawed, the healthiest sperm will be selected for use in in vitro fertilisation, to treat infertile couples.
