Prenatal exercise. Full-term pregnant woman on her hands and knees arches her back during a prenatal exercise. Prenatal exercises, often involving stretching of the spine, help to strengthen muscles in the back and pelvis. They also partly remove pressure of the foetus on the spine relieving backache, a common problem towards the end of pregnancy.
