Prenatal exercise. Pregnant woman sits in a prenatal exercise position stretching upwards with her arms. Prenatal exercises, often involving the stretching of the spine and pelvis, help to strengthen muscles in the back and hips. They also partly remove pressure of the foetus on the spine relieving backache, a common problem towards the end of pregnancy.
