Newborn baby boy being washed in a bath at home by his mother. He has a clip attached to the umbilical cord that connected him with his mother. The clip prevented bleeding when the cord was cut soon after birth. The remaining cord dries up and drops off 7-10 days after birth, resulting in the navel or belly button. Photographed in the Netherlands.
