Neck gland examination. General practice (GP) doctor palpating (feeling) a boy's neck glands. Lymphatic glands can become inflamed and swollen if a patient has an infection. The amount of swelling in the neck glands can help the doctor diagnose the boy's medical condition. He will also examine the boy's throat using the viewing instrument in his hand.
