Children in an orphanage. This orphanage is in Kenya. It is run by Canadian nuns, without any government assistance, and relies entirely on donations. Many of the children have been orphaned by AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome), a disease that has reached epidemic proportions in Africa, where it has killed millions. Photographed as part of work by the UK charity MEAK (Medical and Educational Aid to Kenya).
