Uterine adenocarcinoma. Light micrograph of adenocarcinoma cancer in the endometrium of the human uterus. The endometrium is the uterine lining. The tumour is seen here as very abnormal and closely packed glands. These are full of cellular debris (seen at centre right, centre left and bottom right corner). The cells forming the glands are also reproducing abnormally. White blood cells are attacking the cancer cells, seen as black dots between the glands. Endometrial adenocarcinoma is the most common cancer of the uterus, which usually occurs in post-menopausal women. Papanicolaou stained cells. Magnification: x100 at 35mm size.
