Vaginal wart. Light micrograph of a section through a condyloma (wart-like growth) on the vaginal wall. Condylomas may be caused by viruses (such as human papilloma virus, HPV) or bacterial infections like syphilis. They are normally found on the skin around the urogenital region, and can be sexually transmitted. External treatment is with the use of podophyllin or trichloracetic acid. Magnification unknown.
