Benign ovary tumour. Sectioned gross clinical specimen of an ovary filled by a fibroma tumour. This benign (non-cancerous) growth is composed of fibrous tissue. Symptoms include abdominal pain and fluid retention (ascites). Treatment involves surgery to remove the tumour or the affected ovary.
