Hands. Historical artwork of a woman's hands by the Italian scientist and artist Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519). He studied human anatomy by both observation and dissection. He is most famous for works of art such as The Last Supper (1495-97) and the Mona Lisa (1503-06). He was also an accomplished scientist, extensively investigating the world around him by observation and experi- mentation. This drawing was made around 1485.
