Leg nerves. Historical anatomical artwork of the nerves (white) of the front of a human lower leg. At left, the superficial (surface) nerves are seen and at right the deep nerves and muscles (red) and bones (yellow) are seen. The main deep nerve (on the outside of this right leg) is the peroneal nerve. The tendons and ligaments of the knee and lower leg and foot are also seen (grey). The bone seen here is the tibia.
