Photograph of the bones articulating the human left knee (genual) joint, seen in posterior aspect. The condyles on the lower head of the femur (top) articulate with corresponding condyles on the tibia, the larger of the two bones in the lower leg. The fibula, the smaller bone in the lower leg, is seen at left. The knee joint is the largest joint in the body.
