Shoulder. Coloured X-ray of the bones in the human shoulder. Three bones meet at the shoulder joint. The largest, seen here at centre, is the humerus or upper arm bone. At its top is a ball that fits into a socket in the scapula (shoulder blade), seen here on the left. In front of the scapula (upper left, here above scapula) is the clavicle or collar bone.
