The bones which comprise the ankle are the tibia, fibula and talus. The tibia is yellow, the fibula is orange and partially hidden by the tibia, the calcaneus is blue and the talus is purple. The bones of the midfoot are green. The bones in red are portions of the metatarsals. In addition to the bony anatomy there are important ligaments (connect bone to bone) which provide support to this joint.
