Skull scan. Coloured computed tomography (CT) scan through a healthy human skull. This is a sagittal scan, a vertical slice through a side view of the subject. The neck bones (vertebrae), upon which the skull rests, are also seen, and the face is outlined. CT scanning uses X-rays to construct slice images of the human body.
