Scanning Electron Micrograph of normal human eye showing anterior of iris and pupil. Anterior surface of lens is visible in foreground (opaque- looking circle). Bead- like frill surrounding the pupil is the pigment epithelium which colours the iris. Iris stroma, meshwork of fibres containing vessels and nerves in iris can also be seen moulded by contraction furrows. Trabecular mesh- work appears as white line in distance. X 40.
