Endsocope image of a normal human stomach. This image is of the fundus of the stomach, the uppermost of the anatomic areas of the stomach, into which the oesophagus enters. The other areas are the body (middle section) and the lower antrum, which connects to the duodenum via the pylorus. The white spots over the mucous membrane are highlights of the endoscope's light source reflecting off the mucosa.
