Caption

Full bladder. Coloured urogram (X-ray) of the human abdomen, showing a full bladder. Bones of the pelvis (lower frame) and spine (upper centre) are seen. Urine is stored in the bladder (yellow) between the pelvic hip bones. The bladder is full, and has expanded to a rounded structure. A urogram is made by injecting an X-ray opaque substance into the blood. An X-ray is taken after the kidneys have filtered this substance from the blood and it has collected in the bladder.
