Female bladder. Artwork of section through a woman's bladder (red) and reproductive system. The bladder is the organ that stores urine (yellow) before its expulsion from the body through the urethra (red, down lower centre). Urine drains into the bladder from the kidneys (not seen) through the two ureters (one seen, white tube, centre). Above the bladder is the uterus (blue), with the two Fallopian tubes (oviducts) leading to it from the ovular ovaries. The uterus ends at the cervix (dome at centre right), which forms the top of the vagina (tube running to lower centre). The rectum is down far right. A section through the pubic bone (white) is at centre left.
