Female urogenital anatomy. Artwork of a vertical section through the female urogenital system. Three systems exit the body through three orifices seen running across lower centre. From left, these are the urethral opening (for the urinary system), the vaginal opening (for the reproductive system) and the anus (for the digestive system). The pubic bone (far left) & backbone (upper right) are seen. The bladder (yellow, centre left) stores urine. The rectum (centre right) stores faeces. The uterus (centre, red) is where a baby develops after the fertilisation and implantation of an egg that travels from the ovary (red, above uterus) through the Fallopian tube to the uterus.
