Caption

Adrenal gland cells. Light micrograph of a section through a healthy human adrenal gland. These are steroid-secreting cells from the zona fasciculate, the middle zone of the adrenal gland's cortex (outer layer). Steroid-secreting cells (one seen at centre) have abundant cytoplasm, which contains numerous large triglyceride droplets (red) and irregularly shape mitochondria (pink). Magnification unknown.
