Boy drinking milk fortified with omega-3 fish oils. The cows which produce this milk are fed feed fortified with fish oils to enrich their milk with the essential fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EHA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Research suggests that omega-3 fatty acids help brain development in young children and can improve behaviour and learning difficulties. Another type of omega-3 milk is made by adding an emulsion of fish oils during processing.
