This course is the first of its kind in the world, and teaches business skills, materials science, wave mechanics, aerodynamics as well as surfing history & techniques. Plymouth University has sold the course to the Edith Cowen University in Australia and is in talks with the University of Hawaii. It is attempting to form a tripartite agreement so that students would study for a year at each of the three institutions.
