Cathodoluminescence light micrograph of a section of a meteorite (Enstatite Chondrites). Cathodoluminescence is light emitted when the specimen, placed in a special light microscope surrounded by a vacuum chamber, is bombarded with high-energy electrons. The method reveals fine detail of the structure.
