Chondrite meteorite. This is a type of stony meteorite that has not been altered by processes such as melting, and represents the original material that formed the asteroids. Most of the meteorites found on Earth are chondrites. This one is further classified as a CN3 chondrite, and was found near Allende, Mexico. It measures 9 by 5.5 centimetres in size.
