The south-western part of the waning moon is seen in this amateur telescope photograph. The dark, almost circular region at centre left is the Mare Humorum, with the crater Gassendi cutting into its northern (top) edge. The twin craters just south- east of Mare Humorum are Campanus & Mercator. Photographed Aug. Schmidt.
