Opportunity Mars Exploration Rover by the Burns Cliff in Endurance Crater on Mars. Opportunity landed on Mars on 25th January 2004 and has explored the surrounding area, taking rock samples and studying the soil. It joined its twin rover Spirit, which landed on the other side of the planet some three weeks earlier. This view was created by Virtual Presence in Space technology, combining 46 Opportunity images of the region with a model of the rover. The Mars images were taken between 13th and 20th November 2004.
