Orion constellation. Constellation of Orion, the Hunter, just before sunrise. The centre of the constellation is called Orion's belt, a line of three bright stars (at upper centre). To the left of this is Orion's body, the brightest star of which is Betelgeuse (at upper left). One of Orion's arm goes out to far left, the other stretches to just right of top centre. Orion's legs are to the right of the belt, and feature the bright star Rigel (at upper right). Between the legs is the red Great Nebula (at upper right) which represents a gleam in Orion's sword. Just above the horizon (at lower right) is Sirius, a star in the Canis Major constellation.
