Orion and Taurus starfield. Optical image of a starfield containing the constellations Orion and Taurus rising over a forest. The Moon is rising behind a tree at lower left. Orion (lower right) is one of the most prominent constellations, and contains the group known as Orion's belt, three stars of equal brightness equally spaced, seen in a vertical line here. Taurus is a zodiacal constellation centred on the large V-shaped star cluster, the Hyades (upper centre). Above this is another star cluster, the Pleiades (M45), a tighter group of several blue-white stars. The bright orange star at lower centre is Betelgeuse (Alpha Orionis) in the constellation Orion.
