Star cluster. Optical image of the M7 (NGC 6475) open star cluster (upper left) in the constellation of Scorpius, the scorpion. The sting in the tail of the scorpion is represented by the two bright stars at upper right, and the rest of the tail curves around to bottom right corner. The star fields are particularly dense in this region as the view is towards the centre of our galaxy.
