At a distance of 35,000 light-years, M92 shines with the light of 250,000 suns. The brightest individual members of the cluster are 1000 times more luminous than the sun. Although slightly dimmer and more distant than M13, M92 is a distinctive object visually as it has a very bright, very dense core.
