Ursae Majoris B planet. Artwork of moons around the planet 47 Ursae Majoris B (orange, centre). One moon (in the foreground) appears to be similar to Earth. The other moons appear similar to Earth's own moon. The planet, detected by a wobble in the motion of its parent star, 47 Ursae Majoris, is estimated to be about 2.3 times the mass of Jupiter. It is almost certainly a Jupiter-like gas giant planet. Its orbit takes 1103 days, which would place it between Mars and Jupiter in our own solar system. The star 47 Ursae Majoris (not seen) is around 44 light years away from our Sun.
