Caption

Extrasolar planet around the star AU Microscopii, artwork. AU Microscopii is known to be surrounded by a disc of dust and debris from collisions between asteroids, comets and young planets. Such a disc is strong evidence that planets will form or have formed around the star. AU Microscopii lies around 32 light years from Earth in the constellation Microscopium.
