Galaxies and "Hand of God". Abstract artwork of a giant hand with spiral galaxies. This could represent the Big Bang, the theoretical explosion from which all the matter in the Universe originated. Conversely, it could represent the Big Crunch, the hand drawing the galaxies in to their destruction. The Big Bang theory is based on the fact that the Universe appears to have been expanding from a point for about 12 billion years. The theory is backed up by cosmic background radiation, believed to be the explosion's remnant. The Big Crunch is one model of the Universe's death, where the galaxies are halted in their expansion by gravity, and fall into each other.
