Cape Canaveral launch site. Satellite view of Complex 40 launch Pad, one of several launchpads at Cape Canaveral Air Station, Florida, USA, operated by the United States Air Force. Launch pad 40 , seen here in the centre of image, is used to launch military, weather and non- commercial satellites. Cape Canaveral is also used by NASA for Space Shuttle and other space vehicle launches. This image was taken by the Ikonos satellite, the first commercial satellite to collect data at one- metre resolution. Image taken on 3 June 2002.
