NK-33 liquid-fuel rocket engine, museum display. The NK-33 rocket engine was an advanced design intended to be used for the first stage of the abandoned Soviet N1 Moon rocket. The engines were stored in a warehouse for 30 years before a US company bought the remaining engines in the 1990s, planning to use the engines in a commercial launch vehicle. Photographed in April 2007 at the Samara Space Museum, Russia.
