French-Soviet mission training, at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonauts Centre, Star City, near Moscow, USSR, in 1982. From left to right are: Soviet cosmonauts Vladimir Solovyov (born 1946), Leonid Kizim (born 1941) and CNES (French) astronaut Patrick Baudry (born 1946). Baudry became a CNES astronaut in 1980, and over the next two years his training included work at Star City. Baudry was a member of the back-up crew for the French-Soviet space mission of 1982 (Soyuz T-6 to the Salyut 7 space station), and would later go into space on mission STS-51-G (1985). Kizim went into space in 1980, 1984 and 1986. Solovyov flew space missions in 1984 and 1986.
