Astronaut Edwin E. Aldrin deploys the passive seismic experiment EASEP during the Apollo 11 landing on the Moon in July 1969. Apollo 11 was the first manned lunar landing. The Apollo 11 lunar module is seen in the background. The photograph was taken by astronaut Neil A. Armstrong, who was the first man to step on the Moon.
