Apollo 11 photograph showing astronaut Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin deploying the Early Apollo Scientific Experiments Package (EASEP). Aldrin is standing by the Passive Seismic Experiments Package (PSEP). To the left & further in the distance can be seen the Laser Ranging Retro- reflector. In centre-background is the Lunar Module. Apollo 11 was the first manned lunar landing mission & was launched on 16 July 1969. It landed on the Moon on 20 July.
