Showering on Skylab. Astronaut Jack R Lousma taking a shower on board the orbiting Skylab space station. Showering in the microgravity conditions experienced in orbit required specialised equipment. The water was pumped both into and out of the curtained cubicle. Lousma, along with Alan Bean and Owen K Garriott, spent 59 days in orbit from 28th July 1973, and conducted numerous scientific experiments.
