Memorial to Challenger space shuttle disaster, Arlington National Cemetery, Washington D.C., USA. This memorial depicts the 7 crew members of the Challenger space shuttle, who were killed when the shuttle exploded 73 seconds after its launch on the 28th January 1986. The crew members were Dick Scobie (commander), Michael Smith (pilot), Judith Resnick, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka (mission specialists), Christa McAuliffe and Gregory Jarvis (payload specialists).
