Astronaut Fuglesang after spacewalk. Swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang (centre) being helped to remove his extravehicular mobility unit (EMU) spacesuit. Fuglesang has just participated in the first extravehicular activity (EVA, or spacewalk) of the STS-116 Space Shuttle Discovery mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The EVA lasted 6 hours and 36 minutes as the astronauts continued construction of the ISS. The 12-day mission launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA, on 10th December 2006.
