Model mars rover. Replica of the Mars exploration rover Opportunity being used to find a way for the Opportunity rover on Mars to free itself from a soft sand dune. The sand has the same properties as the surface sand found on Mars, and sticks to the rover's wheels. Photographed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, California, USA, in May 2005.
