Nuclear bomb-powered spaceship, computer artwork. Theoretical spaceship which would detonate nuclear devices behind it as a means of propulsion. Since space is a vacuum, there would be no shock wave. So in order for the method to be effective, the explosion would have to be high- yield in terms of particles, and it would be these hitting the rear of the spaceship which would accelerate the vessel.
