Trans-Alaska oil pipeline. This pipeline transports crude oil across Alaska. It stretches from oilfields on the North Slope to the port at Valdez, where the oil is shipped to refineries in the continental United States. The pipeline is over 1200 kilometres long and about 1.2 metres across. It crosses over 800 rivers and streams along its route. Photographed at the Tanana River, Alaska, USA.
