Feed pipes and turbine house of the Sloy power station, Scotland. Sloy is the UK's largest- capacity hydroelectric power station. Its four turbines may generate a combined 130 MW of electricity, with a response time of five minutes from being turned on to producing full capacity. Sloy is located on the banks of Loch Lomond, and may be used to regulate the level of water in the Loch to prevent flooding.
